Summer Donation 2012

2 June 2013 No Comment

Another year of collecting pens has drawn to a close and we at Pens To People couldn’t be more excited about the results! This year we managed to collect 1,227 pens and have chosen to donate them to the Mnyakongo School Project in the central region of Tanzania in the village of Kongwa. The school was opened as a state school by the Tanzanian Government in 1961 and today has 821 students and 35 teachers. For more info on the project, check out their website here. The school’s administrators are overjoyed that we have chosen to partner with them this summer and will be sending us pictures of the pens in action (which I promise to post here). Thanks again for a third successful summer donating pens to the children who need them most and remember to check back for more photos!
